March 2, 2020, Santa Monica: Alyssa speaks to an after school program about her book, kindness and bullying.

Santa Monica January 15,2020:Alyssa reads her book, The Purple Marble, and then has a discussion and Q&A with the kids about kindness and bullying.

February 12, 2020 Santa Monica: Alyssa read her book, The Purple Marble, and led a discussion and Q&A after.

March 10, 2020 : Alyssa was interviewed by Spectrum News for “In Focus” who was doing a segment on bullying.

March 16, 2020 Event Cancelled due to school closure for Covid 19 and will be rescheduled. Alyssa was going to speak to 600 kids in 3 separate assemblies based on age groups about her book and bullying.

March 2020. Strength Behind Stars held an online fundraiser to raise money for United Friends of the children to help with the immediate need during the Covid 19 pandemic for food and necessities for foster youth. Originally we scheduled a cooking demonstration to raise funds for prom dresses for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. However, because of school closures and more immediate needs, we chose to donate the proceeds to United Friends of the Children.
